In Grettstadt sind gleich zwei Tochtergesellschaften der in Hittfeld südlich von Hamburg ansässigen Laurens Spethmann Holding Zuhause: Das Kräuterhaus Wild und das OTG Lager- und Frachtkontor Süd, in der Unternehmensfamilie liebevoll „Meßmer Werk Grettstadt“ und „Meßmer Logistik Grettstadt“ genannt.
Das Kräuterhaus Wild ist das größte der drei Teewerke der LSH-Unternehmensfamilie und produziert jährlich etwa 3,7 Milliarden Teebeutel für die Marken des Unternehmens, allen voran Meßmer sowie auch für Handelsmarken. Es ist, als eines der modernsten Teewerke Europas, der Spezialist für Arzneitees im Unternehmensverbund. Rund 190 Mitarbeiter sorgen für eine reibungslose Produktion. Besonders wichtig für diese reibungslose Produktion, kreative und innovative Lösungen sowie eine stetige Weiterentwicklung sind die Mitarbeiter und das familiäre, vertrauensvolle Miteinander, das auf gelebten Unternehmenswerten, wie beispielsweise einer Kommunikation auf Augenhöhe, basiert. Die Anbindung zum direkt angrenzenden OTG Lager und Frachtkontor Süd bildet in Grettstadt die ideale Verbindung zwischen Produktion und Lager und Logistik: Auf einer Lagerfläche von 11.000 m2 sind aktuell rund 40 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter damit beschäftigt, rund 20.000 Palettenplätze des vollautomatisierten Hochregallagers mit Hilfe moderner IT-Systeme zu betreuen und am Laufen zu halten. Neben klassischen
Lagerprozessen wie Wareneingangabwicklung, Versand, gehören auch Value Added Services wie Kommissionierung und Konfektionierung (Display- und Sortimentsbau) zum Angebot des OTG Lager- und Frachtkontors Süd. Auch das Thema Ausbildung hat große Bedeutung: als erfahrener Ausbildungsbetrieb werden mit viel Engagement z. B. Fachkräfte für Lagerlogistik und Fachlageristen ausgebildet. Kräuterhaus Wild is the largest of the three tea plants in the LSH family and produces about 3.7 billion tea bags annually for the company’s brands, primarily Meßmer and also for private labels. As one of the most modern tea plants in Europe, it is the specialist for medicinal teas in the group of companies. Around 190 employees ensure smooth production. The employees and close cooperation based on trust, in keeping with the company’s practised values such as communication as equals, are particularly important for this smooth production, creative and innovative solutions and continuous development. The link to the directly adjacent OTG Lager und Frachtkontor Süd in Grettstadt provides the ideal connection between production and warehousing and logistics: on a storage area of 11,000 m2, around 40 employees are currently employed to maintain and keep around 20,000 pallet spaces running in the fully automated high-bay warehouse with the help of modern IT systems.
